At The Gathering, we’ve been diving deep into the power of covenant — the sacred, unbreakable bond between God and His people. This past Sunday, Larry Ramirez shared an inspiring message titled The Miraculous Covenant, teaching us not only about the divine miracles that accompany this relationship but also how each of us, as believers, are invited to participate in the miraculous power of God.
As we reflect on Larry’s words, let’s explore the richness of covenant and its transformative impact on our lives, especially as it relates to the signs and wonders that flow from a life rooted in Christ. You can listen to the full message here on YouTube.
Throughout scripture, God consistently displays His power through miracles, healings, and signs. These aren’t just isolated events; they are the evidence of God’s covenant with us — His promise to be present, to heal, and to restore.
Larry’s testimony of encountering miracles during his early walk with Jesus is powerful. From a dramatic transformation on October 13th, 1995, to leading outreaches where he witnessed blind eyes opened, gangrenous legs being restored back to perfect health, and people coming out of comas, Larry’s life is a testimony to the truth that God’s covenant is alive and active today. While Larry has prayed for many who were dead (though none have been raised yet), he has witnessed incredible healing miracles and life-changing breakthroughs.
But what does it mean for us? Larry’s message reminds us that this covenant is not just a historical truth; it’s living and active today. As believers, we are called to walk in that power. We are not mere spectators of God’s glory but active participants, empowered by the Holy Spirit to walk in miracles. Every believer carries the gift of the miraculous — not because of their own merit, but because of the unbreakable covenant God has made with us.
Larry also tied in a profound truth: miracles are not just about power; they are deeply intertwined with humility and love. This is something that Leah often reflects on — the miraculous goes hand in hand with humility. In fact, as Larry shared, his own journey of serving others in humility is what opened the door for God’s miraculous power to flow in his life. The miraculous is not something to be wielded for personal glory but to serve others in love.
In a world that desperately needs the tangible touch of God’s love, we, as His covenant people, are called to step out in faith, to see the miraculous as God’s love manifested in real-time. We serve and love others, and in that process, we become conduits of His supernatural power.
A core message from Larry’s sermon was that God watches over His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). This means that God’s promises are not empty words. When He says He will heal, restore, and deliver, He will do it. God has given us His word, and His word is alive. Larry’s life is a living example of this truth — he has witnessed people healed, delivered, and set free, and he would be the first to tell you that it’s not because of anything special about him. Instead, it’s the covenant of God at work — His promises, His power, and His faithfulness that enable these miraculous transformations.
This is where the covenant comes alive. The word of God is not just ink on paper; it is the living promise of His presence and power. As we step out in faith, believing God to fulfill His word, we witness the miraculous unfold before us.
In our own lives, the covenant God has made with us means that we don’t have to settle for the ordinary. Miracles are the fruit of that covenant — not just for a select few, but for everyone who believes. God is calling us to step into the supernatural, to be a community of faith that believes in the miraculous, lives out the miraculous, and brings the miraculous to the world around us.
Here at The Gathering, we are not just talking about miracles; we are living them out. Whether it’s praying for healing, providing encouragement to a hurting world, or walking in obedience to the Holy Spirit’s direction, we are agents of the miraculous. And it all starts with covenant — the unwavering love and promises of God that are the foundation of all we do.
As Larry challenged us on Sunday, we are not to keep the power of covenant to ourselves. We are called to step out in faith, to lay hands on the sick, pray for miracles, and be the hands and feet of Jesus in a broken world.
We can’t just talk about miracles; we have to believe for them and act on them. It’s time to step into the miraculous life God has for us — to operate in the supernatural and bring healing, deliverance, and hope to those around us.
Let’s be a community of covenant, walking in love, humility, and the miraculous power of God. As we do, we will see His promises fulfilled in our lives and in the lives of those around us.
