Woven Together: A Pattern Emerges
On the night leading into Shavuot in June 2025—a feast that commemorates both the giving of the Law at Sinai and the outpouring of the Spirit at Pentecost—my friend Chris Berglund shared a dream with me. From the moment I read it, I knew it wasn’t just for us. It was for a people the Lord is forming. A company of surrendered hearts. The dream revealed the slow, intentional weaving of something sacred—thread by thread, life by life.
“Lou and team were watching a master weaver at a loom with cross-threads of various colors making a type of garment or blanket. The weaver said that this blanket needed the cross threads of Song of Solomon 8 with 1 Kings 18 and that of Isaiah 49.
The colors of each of these threads were different but they all were crossed or inlaid with a scarlet thread. We were not permitted to see the final product yet because it was still being fashioned by the threads.
There was love but an unwavering determination in the Master’s eyes as he wanted to see this garment in full display. Yet it could only be made at the speed of the surrender and the inward working of Christ’s life in the team. We came together to speed up the work by becoming unified together and with the One who was made a covenant for us.
It was almost like the One (Jesus) who was made a covenant for us opened the door of His Life for us to be joined to His glory in the display of this garment…
There was an impartation and anticipation. We all felt that this was not the end of a matter but the beginning of something really profound. Somebody, maybe Duke? said… Goliath’s weaver’s beam had no chance of victory over this woven covenant.”
The image of this woven blanket—threaded with scripture, sealed with surrender, marked by Christ’s own blood—has not left me. And I believe it’s speaking to many of us in this moment of shaking and re-formation.
This isn’t about building ministries. It’s not about being impressive. It’s about letting Christ weave us together into something durable, holy, and prepared for glory. It’s about surrender.
Let me show you the pattern that’s emerging.
“He made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of His hand He hid me; He made me a polished arrow, in His quiver He hid me away.” — Isaiah 49:2
The Servant of the Lord is not forgotten. He is hidden. Not discarded, but treasured. Not bypassed, but sharpened.
Many in Colorado Springs right now feel tucked away, overlooked, even shelved. But Isaiah tells a different story. Hiddenness is not exile—it is intimacy. God hides what He is forming. He conceals what He is preparing.
You are not rejected. You are being readied. He is not simply calling you—He is giving you. Isaiah 49:8 says, “I will keep you and give you as a covenant to the people.”
You’re not just carrying the message. You are becoming the message.
“Who is this coming up from the wilderness leaning on her beloved?” — Song of Songs 8:5
We are being redefined by love—not duty. Not ambition. Not striving.
By the time we reach this final chapter, the Bride is no longer chasing identity. She is leaning. Marked by fire. Forged in love.
“Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death… Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the Lord.” — Song of Songs 8:6
To be sealed is to belong. To be sealed is to surrender. The flame of hesed love—the covenantal fire of the Lord—burns away every counterfeit. You are His. And that is enough.
Donya shared after the message that she realized she had let the enemy define her value in a previous season. She had once been strong in the Lord but forgot that love—not position—is the seal. “I can lean now,” she said. “He is enough.”
Elijah ascends Mount Carmel with nothing but a word from the Lord. There’s been drought for years, yet he says, “I hear the sound of the rushing of rain.”
He bows. He prays. He sends his servant seven times. And then—it comes. A cloud the size of a man’s hand.
This is intercession not from striving, but from union. Elijah had been formed in hiddenness, sealed in love. Now, he stands in authority—not because he’s impressive, but because he’s surrendered.
Gwen stood up Sunday and testified through tears: “I’ve lived this. I was hidden for 17 years. I thought I was buried. But I was planted.” She shared how surrender has become her strength and how she’s beginning to see the rain.
Isaiah 49 — Hidden and Called
Song of Songs 8 — Sealed and Loved
1 Kings 18 — Positioned and Empowered
This is what God is weaving together here in Colorado Springs and beyond. Not a ministry brand. Not a polished strategy. A people.
We are not self-promoting—we are hidden in His hand.
We are not burned out—we are marked by love.
We are not spectators—we are intercessors who pull heaven to earth.
As Annaliese shared on Sunday, “I feel like I’ve been stitched into something larger than myself.” Yes. That’s it. He is joining us together, thread by thread.
And this woven covenant? It is not passive. It dismantles the counterfeit. It takes down giants. As the dream said, “Goliath’s weaver’s beam had no chance of victory over this woven covenant.”
The enemy cannot win against a people unified in surrender, intercession, and love. This is how Goliath falls—not by might, but by the weaving together of lives in covenant with Christ.
