Prophetic insight and spiritual clarity from our last Grove gathering
At our most recent Grove gathering, the Lord moved with tenderness and strength. As women from across the city gathered, the Holy Spirit began weaving us into something beautiful: a coalition of unity. Melanie Taylor shared a powerful teaching that brought language to the subtle schemes of the enemy—and pointed us back to our true inheritance in Christ.
Before Melanie began, she read aloud a prophetic word from Jessica Jecker. It set the tone for everything that followed, calling forth a new breed of women who reject comparison, division, and competition.
(read aloud by Melanie at the Grove)
“A different breed of women have just stepped onto the battlefield…
He is raising up a coalition of women who won’t view other women as competition but as co-laborers…
The jealous are being replaced with intercessors.
The prideful are being replaced with the lowly.
The gossips are being replaced with the prophets…A new breed of women are rising who won’t allow the enemy to use them as the tool that keeps one more generation bound. Instead, they will be knee-deep in the trenches with one another, breaking open the way for the sake of their daughters and their granddaughters.”
— Jessica Jecker
This prophetic word framed everything that came next as Melanie walked us through a revelatory unpacking of the prefix “dis.”
Dismantling the “Dis” Culture
Melanie taught that many of us have been “dissed”—disrespected, discounted, disillusioned. These aren’t just emotional experiences; they’re spiritual tactics meant to disconnect us from our inheritance, our sisters, and our strength.
Dis = distance, division, or dismantling of what God intended.
She showed how the enemy uses these “dis-es” to keep us out of unity:
Melanie pointed to 2 Chronicles 20, where God’s people were under threat but told not to fear:
“The battle is not yours, but God’s.” (v.15)
“Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” (v.20)
These are the moments we must position ourselves—even in the face of fear—and allow God to fight for us. When we posture our hearts toward unity, God meets us with power.
Melanie reminded us of the definition:
Coalition: A body formed by distinct parts coming together for a shared purpose.
To coalesce: To grow together, to unite, to fuse into a whole.
This is The Grove. A root system of many women, fused together for His glory.
Melanie led us through:
We’ve all experienced “dis” in one form or another. But the Lord is dis-mantling what has divided us and re-mantling us with honor, unity, and purpose.
“He wants to reappoint us, to reinherit what’s been lost or stolen—as a company, an army, a family, a grove, a region, and a state.” – Melanie Taylor
Let’s link arms, tear down the old systems of disconnection, and walk boldly as women fused together by love and covenant.
We’ll announce the next Grove gathering soon. Until then:
We are stronger together.
