This past weekend we hosted Table & Thread, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the opening worship to the final session, it felt as if each moment built upon the last until the room was bursting with joy. By Saturday night, the laughter and freedom of God’s presence spilled over in such a tangible way it was almost impossible to recover. The weight of heaviness gave way to the oil of gladness, and we left marked with the sense that joy has truly replaced mourning in this city.
If you weren’t able to be in the room, we’ve made the livestreams available so you can encounter the same grace that touched us. You can watch every teaching here:

On Sunday morning, that same joy overflowed into our gathering at The Gathering. Chris shared, I shared a short reflection, and then we opened the floor to testimonies. What came forward was more than just stories—it was the evidence that God’s Spirit is knitting us into His covenant family, healing wounds, and filling hearts with laughter that only He can give.

Even in the midst of laughter, Chris reminded us of the seriousness of what God is planting within us. He spoke of the gospel of the seed—that Christ Himself is sown into our lives, growing in us until His life overtakes the flesh. Scripture after scripture came alive: Adam and Christ, Ishmael and Isaac, Esau and Jacob. The war between flesh and promise is settled in the increase of Jesus within us.
As Chris said, “When the clay vessel is broken, the light of Christ shines out.” That breaking isn’t defeat—it’s the very place where the life of Christ increases, and the joy of His Spirit breaks into our lives and communities.
From tears of laughter to deep healing, we saw God move in ways that surprised us all. Several shared how the heaviness they carried was lifted in a moment. Others told of new freedom to enter into prayer with joy, not striving. This is the fruit of His Spirit among us—joy that heals, connects, and strengthens.
We believe this weekend was not a one-time encounter, but the beginning of something God is doing across our city and beyond. Joy is not a side-effect—it is a weapon, a testimony, and a sign of the kingdom breaking in.
Let’s stay attentive to what God is doing. Let’s keep sowing to the Spirit, nourishing the seed of Christ within us, and walking together in covenant joy.
